Rough Country recommends a certified technician install this system. In addition to these instructions, professional

knowledge of disassemble/reassembly procedures as well as post installation checks must be known. Attempts to install

this system without this knowledge and expertise may jeopardize the integrity and/or operating safety of the vehicle.

Please read instructions before beginning installation. Check the kit hardware against the parts list. Be sure you have all

needed parts and know where they go. Also please review tools needed list and make sure you have needed tools.

This JK diff/skid is designed to work with any JK with stock with a dana 30 front axle.

1/2” Socket

9/16” Socket

Install Instructions

1. Remove the 5 lower bolts holding the inspection cover to the axle with a 1/2” socket.

2. Hold the diff/skid against the outside of the inspection cover and insert the supplied bolts. See Photo 1.

3. Insert the supplied u-bolt around the pinion flange and secure with a supplied flange nuts. See Photo 2.

4. Tighten the diff bolts with a 1/2” socket and the u-bolt nuts with a 9/16” socket.
